Nowadays, if you want to build in a future-oriented manner, you need to implement a sophisticated energy savings concept in a rigorous manner. Energy savings start with the right insulation.
Here, special attention should be given to professional insulation of the window connecting joints. Otherwise, there is the danger that the more stringent requirements of the new EnEV regulations for an airtight building structure cannot be met. Here's how the greenteQ VARIO 3 tape works. Instead of needing three separate products, one is now sufficient. Due to its special construction, the functions of all three sealing levels are combined in the greenteQ VARIO tape:
on the outside, the greenteQ VARIO 3 tape ensures watertightness with more than 600 Pa. The middle zone provides thermal and sound insulation. The inside of the tape is airtight.
The greenteQ VARIO 3 tape guarantees a good drying of joints (confirmed by ift Rosenheim). In the EnEV and thermal protection regulation, there is a requirement according to DIN 4108-3 that water falling during thaw periods must be returned to the environment during evaporation periods. The VARIO 3 tape fulfils this requirement.
All in all, a lot of time can thus be saved when sealing windows. In just one step, the tape is affixed to the window frame, butt joined at the corners and is finished. Compared to conventional window mounting, the work required with the greenteQ VARIO 3 tape is reduced to less than one quarter of the time.
Mounting security across the entire product line The mounting is independent of the weather and ensures efficient joint sealing. Installation errors are eliminated by means of the green colouring of the airtight inner strip edge.
Installers often meet up with enormous differences in joint widths when installing windows. The greenteQ VARIO 3 tape provides security here, since the strong expansion capability securely compensates for uneven joint runs and component movements and prevents the occurrence of cracks. For this reason, just a few tape dimensions are sufficient for sealing vastly different joints. Available in 5-10 mm, 7-15 mm and 10-20 mm for window construction depths of 60 mm, 70 mm, 80 mm and 90 mm.
