The material stainless steel 1.4301 (AISI 304-A2) has a good corrosion resistance to weathering, is largely resistant to weak acids and building authorities tested and approved for moderate chloride and sulfur dioxide pollution.
Therefore the house numbers are used almost anywhere. Only the use in aggressive environments (e.g. seawater) should be avoided; with dowels and screws; stainless steel matt brushed.
